Responsibility
According to some dictionaries, following are the meanings of responsibility
- The state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over someone.
- The state or fact of being accountable or to blame for something.
- The opportunity or ability to act independently and take decisions without authorization.
It’s a STATE of an individual. It’s more on philosophical or psychological aspect of an individual human being. Now the whole Idea of this drags me into a black hole.
What exactly we mean by “Responsibility” or “being responsible”?
It’s about caring something that matters against all the odds. It’s state that makes our conscious aware about our action. It gives liberty because it gives us an access to our inner world. Taking responsibility gives freedom, Confused ? Let’s take an example.
A lovely couple gave birth to a lovely child. That brings “Responsibility of a child”, now whenever someone takes the responsibility of being a parent they are going to enjoy the parenthood but it is a responsibility. Taking care of a child against all the odds is the responsibility of the parents. So they have to accept all the aspects of the parenthood. The growing kid will change their life especially from the “responsibility” perspective.
It is not a new millennium phenomenon, as I said earlier it’s a STATE of an individual. It’s a matter of choice.
